Booking and payment
How do I book?Message us on WhatsApp or call with the tour you want, your date and the number of guests. We confirm availability, your pickup time and the total price. You can also book through the product pages on this site.
Can I book for the same day?Often yes, depending on vehicle availability. Same day requests are best sent by WhatsApp so we can confirm quickly.
Am I booking directly with the operator?Yes. Arabian Destination Tourism is a licensed UAE tour company based in Deira, Dubai. You are not booking through a reseller.
Do you charge per person or per vehicle?Shared tours are priced per person. The private desert safari is priced for the vehicle, so the cost per person falls as your group grows.
Pickup and transfers
Is hotel pickup included?Yes, on every tour. We collect from hotels, apartments and residences across Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. For addresses outside those areas we can arrange a nearby meeting point.
What time will you collect me?It depends on the tour and where you are staying. Morning safaris collect between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. Afternoon and evening tours collect from around 2:30 to 3:30 PM. We confirm your exact time before the day of travel.
What vehicle do you use?Desert tours run in 4x4 vehicles with licensed desert drivers. City tours and Abu Dhabi tours use air conditioned transport.
Desert safari questions
Where is your desert camp?In the Al Awir desert, east of Dubai. It is the closest of the main safari areas to Deira, Bur Dubai and Downtown.
Is dune bashing safe?It is carried out by licensed drivers on controlled routes. It is still an active ride. Guests who are pregnant or who have back, neck or heart conditions should sit the dune session out, which we can arrange without affecting the rest of the tour.
Is there a minimum age?Dune bashing is recommended from age 7. Younger children are welcome on the safari and can wait at the dune stop with a parent during the driving session. Children under 3 must be seated with a guardian during transfers.
Is dinner included?Yes on the evening, VIP, premium, private and overnight safaris, served as a BBQ buffet with vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The morning safari does not include a meal because it finishes before midday.
What is the difference between the evening and VIP safari?Same route, same activities, same dinner. The VIP safari adds reserved seating in a dedicated camp area and a smoother service flow with less waiting.
Which safari suits families with young children?The private safari, because the dune driving can be softened and the pace is yours. The morning safari also works well as it is shorter and less crowded.
Practical
What should I wear?Loose comfortable clothing and flat shoes or trainers. Modest dress is appreciated at the camp. Bring a light jacket for evening and overnight tours in winter, and sunglasses and sunscreen for daytime tours.
When is the best time of year?October to April is the most comfortable season. Between May and September the morning safari is the sensible choice because it finishes before the peak heat.
I get motion sickness. What should I do?Avoid a heavy meal immediately before the tour, sit in the front where possible, and tell your driver so the dune session can be taken gently. You can also skip the dune driving entirely.
Do you cater for vegetarians?Yes. The BBQ buffet includes vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Tell us in advance about any other dietary requirement and we will pass it to the camp.
