Book Desert Safari Direct vs Groupon and GetYourGuide

You will find Dubai desert safaris on Groupon, GetYourGuide, Viator and other platforms. They are convenient, but they are not always the cheapest, and they are not the operator. Here is exactly what changes when you book direct, with a simple cost example.

The commission markup

Online travel agencies add a commission to every booking, often 20 percent or more. That cost is built into the price you pay. When you book direct with the operator, that markup disappears. Our evening safari is AED 80 direct, with free hotel pickup included.

A simple cost example

Say a platform lists a safari at a low headline price. Once you add the service fee, and sometimes a separate pickup charge, the total often climbs above the direct operator price. Booking direct you see one all inclusive price with pickup included and nothing added at checkout.

Who you deal with

On a platform you deal with the platform, not the team running your tour. Book direct and you talk to the people who confirm your pickup, drive your 4×4 and host your evening. That means faster answers, easier changes and a real person if anything comes up on the day.

Flexibility and support

Direct booking makes it simple to adjust your date, add guests or arrange a special request such as a birthday or dietary need. We also offer free cancellation and book now pay later, so there is no risk in reserving early.

When a platform makes sense

If you want to pay in your home currency well in advance, or bundle several activities into one basket, a platform can be handy. For the best price on the safari itself, and a direct line to your operator, book direct. See our price per person guide and how to book.
